  1. All you need is one bore obstruction... A spare barrel is always a good idea --learned the hard way. M
  2. It's most likely an ammo problem; an insufficient recoil impulse. See if you can find some 7mm with a heavier bullet that will stay in the bore longer. M
  3. I took some measurements of the recoil spring from my Johnson M1941 LMG. This is what I found: OAL, at rest: 13-5/8" Wire dia: .063" Coil dia: .808" Active coils: 48, plus 1/2 + 1/2 closed ends Could someone kindly confirm that this is an original spring, and whether its OAL is still within acceptable limit? Years ago I tried to order one from Numrich, but after three tries, they still could not send me one that was remotely close or even identifiable; I finally gave up and got a refund. Also, the bolt carrier buffer and its spring seem to be semi-permanently installed with a retaining cross-pin either welded or swaged in and polished off. I don't wish to disturb it unless I can properly replace it. Has anyone ever taken one out? Any help would be greatly appreciated. M
