  1. Go to the 'carbine collectors club forum', click on the carbine, you'll see I'm sure some pics of it, forget just what info is there. Have you put it together yet, need ammo? Any ?'s on it please just ask.
  2. Hi Rich, Is the number on top of the barrel just in front where it would go into the receiver, is the gas block brazed unto the barrel. Possible we could help you I. D. what you have. Pics would be good.
  3. Hey All, The hunt is over, got a complete trigger group on the way.
  4. Think we have found answers Ed, A lot of info on the 'Carbine Coll's Club'. Looks like the trigger group was made by Plainfield late 60's, when they used up the USGI TG's they did cast with alum. Barrel appears to be a 'MOCO', (Millville Ordnance Co) does not have any stampings but the brazing of the gas piston is kind of a giveaway. Did manage to get out and shoot a few more rds of my loads, 40gr Sierra .223 Hornet, 12grs IMR 4227, worked fine with a group not too bad at 50 yards, no key holeing but could only shoot single shot, magazine area is loose and is where a piece is broken off, hense the need for another trigger housing. Hope this info is correct and helps. Cheers.
  5. Hi Ed, Have not found out for sure who it was made by, will try more to find out, if we do we'll sure fill you in.
  6. My carbine trigger group is one cast from aluminum, is cracked and another piece is broken off, anyone have a spare to part with? Have checked most mil suppliers and they are out or just want to much for one for my pocket book.
  7. My first post, hope to get some answers. Carbine we just got is built on a Winchester platform with a few parts only Winchester. Have been trying to ID mfg of barrel, not that it makes a big difference but would be nice. Barrel is blued, not parked, front sight is military. Only stampings on barrel is what appears to be a number '9' just in front of receiver on the top of barrel. Is there a listing of all who have made these barrels and hopefully pics of them.
