Are you saying they have and sell converted barrels for Johnson rifles? Or just making an unsupported statement?

I’d like to have a barrel built that i can shoot without guilt, and also have the earless fro t sight. I have all the parts except a donor barrel. Is anyone turning remington 700 barrels for use on johnson rifles? I know someone used to. Tim

Any updates on either Joseph Scott or Randy Murray?

I have not heard from Joseph Scott in months (email, IM or posts here)... he has never cashed the check I sent 3+ months ago for a stock. Is there another source for repro stocks? Haven't had anyone respond to PM's yet. Ready to buy, no where to send the money. I know no one here is running a Johnson business, but if there was a sticky that listed the people that commonly sell parts (and which parts they sell, and prices even, if possible), that would be a HUGE time saver for both new people asking, and the regulars on here that have to answer.

I hate to bring back this thread, but I am also in need of a 30-06 barrel. Do we have any movement on sources, and / or a consensus on what the best barrels are to turn down to Johnson barrels, and who can turn them? Do we also have a source for new military stocks? I was thinking of having Dan Block make me one, but he needs a sample to copy which I do not have. Best Regards, -Tim
