Magazine Cover Spring

5 posts in this topic

My Johnsons Magazine cover spring snapped clean in half during loading. The thing I've found, is that it's near impossible to find a replacement for one. Anybody have a good way to find a new one? Or a decent replacement stopgap?

Fraze,

Some people have used various coil springs, but they just don't look "right."  I have several extra magazine assemblies and none of them has the cover spring. I wish Sarco or Numrich would discover a few hundred stashed away!

I have used a large binder clip before. with some tin snips and some bending, file, and grinding work you can make a passable one.
