1941 Johnson SAR barrel

Does anyone have or know where I can get a blueprint or plan of a '41 Johnson barrel? I have two machinist buddys who believe can make a barrel for me out of an '03 Springfield barrel. I have a Winfield deluxe sporter rifle and all the parts to return it to looking military, except a barrel. We were also wondering if we removed the rear barrel bushing from my sporter barrel if we could get all the measurements that way. Has anyone else done this? I don't want to change or convert the sporter barrel
