JSAR #1967 is listed in the production log but no part numbers or disposition is given.  This one came out of the auction in Indiana a few years ago as part of a lot of 10 or 12 JSARs.  It would be most interesting to know the history of this particular JSAR.  Sample, gift, reject ????

Interesting... a users  July 26, 2009 post asked a question:

" I am very interested in any data relating to

JLMG Serial No. 1967"

Is it possible that there was both a JLMG and a JSAR with the same SN?

Art, page 248 Table # 2 column 3 bottom of the Johnson book lists an LMG '41 with # "1968" issued to Ist SSF. So there may be a '41 LMG out there with "1967".....ej

If you read the seller's description they claim the rifle is "100% Matching" and if you are not seeing part numbers listed for this rifle how could they have verified any of this?

If someone buys the gun, takes it apart, then finds all parts numbers are identical to the receiver serial number, it would be 100% fake....a recreation. That being the case, some of us might even suspect the source....in California.
