  11. Im not a "purist" but I do recommend stripped the bolt first . Do not force handle to close, you will ruin the gage. Basically close with very light finger pressure
  12. I am trying to help a friend who needs a retainer pin clip that goes on the forearm, I will buy the complete forearm if need to get this part. I have checked all normal vendors, no one has these. If you can help please let me know Thanks

  16. The Garand Collectors Journal has a article about rifle A0009 that was carried into battle at Iwo Jima by Major Robert Dunlap. Article states that he was awarded the nations highest award for valor in combat with that rifle. Rifle was given to him after the war ended and kept on his wall until his death in 2000. It was put up for auction and is now owned by Robert and Brad Simpson of Collectors Firearms

  18. I saw pics of the rifle, the finish on the barrel didn't look very worn for a battel rifle??

  20. I really see no difference in it than the one I just paid $4000 for other than my handguard was cracked and missing one screw which both have been replaced In the description he states all matching and correct. I thought the numbers never matched?
