Yes, I might buy it later this week. Will make a call to Jesse to talk about detail. Besides the scale of recoil tube drilling, is there any other places is crucial to a good repro stock

I contacted Jesse yesterday.  I believe he has worked out all the fine details.  I too am going to order a stock, but I probably need a bit more time to appropriate the funds.  You do realize that you are going to have to destroy the sporter butt stock to get the recoil tube out, I hope. You'll also need to acquire a butt plate and the rear sling mount, as well as the appropriate screws.

Good to hear it. I sent an email to Jesse, the person who run the pretigious stocks, this morning about the detail of recoil tube drilling. Here is the major reply"   I did work out the drilling for that tube, it was a super pain lol, had to build some custom jigs for my custom drilling machine. But it got it, the tube will be a Snug fit it's. 625od and drilled with a .625 drill bit, and its double drilled for clearance on the shoulder of the tube(also a pain lol) but got it now. " From the reply, he gave me the phone number for future call. I'd like to gather some questions from the forum about the concerns and questions about their johnson repro stock. Please let me know, I hope Trapdoor's information will become a great benefit for all the people have sporting stock that want to restore it.

I hadn''t contacted them yet, so you beat me to it. I think I'm going to give them a try.  This sounds encouraging.  I need a week or 2 before I jump on this.  I'm expecting a call from CMP any day now on a second 1911a1 and i don't want to overextend myself. Please report back if you order one before i do.  I have seen their Lee Enfield stocks, and they are perfect.
