Argentina-made mag?

2 posts in this topic

Was visiting the usmilitaria forum [http://www.usmilitariaforum.com] the other day and saw a post (under the firearms section of the forum) showing a typical JLMG 20-round magazine. The poster is in Argentina and mentioned that the Argentinian Navy used JLMGs after World War II. Interesting thing about the mag was the manufacturer's marking. Not sure if this was U.S. made or Argentina-made. Typical date-type stamp, but the prefix was [if I'm recalling correctly] CG. All of the one's I've seen (and owned) had an NE prefix, presumably for New England [small Arms?]. Just wanted to pass this along and get some feedback as to whether there are any non-NE marked mags floating around here in the 'States.

Hi Bob,

I have a couple of CA marked magazines here. CA for Cranston Arms I guess, all dated as 42, so before they became part of the New England Arms system.
