Winfield Barrel Question

I have a Johnson barrel off a sporterized rifle. It has been cut down so the front sight mounts where the bayonet lug should be (about 2" off). Is this a Winfield modification, or Bubba's?

I have a Johnson barrel off a sporterized rifle. It has been cut down so the front sight mounts where the bayonet lug should be (about 2" off). Is this a Winfield modification, or Bubba's?

What caliber is it? I'm looking for a cut down in good condition.

I'm going to say this was a Bubbaization modification. I don't believe Winfield ever did this. They used either new barrels for the sporters or decent military barrels for the reassembled military configurated rifles.
