Charging handle trivia.

In the past there has been questions about the JSAR charging handle, removal from bolt,  disassemble and other things. Joseph had talked about the similar Remington model 8 charging handle and recommended NEVER  to use it on a JSAR, so don’t use it on a JSAR! ……This continues into something I did not expect…….So I stumbled upon an internet article about Bonnie and Clyde the other day. Interesting article. I was reading about what guns they used, and when I came across the fact that a Remington model 8 was the rifle that ended Clyde’s life. Then I remembered the post about Joseph’s thoughts.

 

Just thought it was interesting coincidence and wanted to share.  I was going to challenge the members to find out what significant event happened with the Remington 8, wasn’t sure if you would want to play the game.
