B3601 is described by seller as "correct, excellent, and rare".  Appears to be missing the front sight pins, forearm has no cutout for the front cross pin.  Buttplate doesn't fit well.   The member here who owned it states that it had a ramp front sight and no bayonet lug, and appeared to be reparked, back in 2005.  Seller claims wood is all original, "been together for 80 years".  Metal finish "all original". Hmmmmmm....

Tinsoldier: You have done your homework well. Joe Scott commented at the time on the barrel, and offered to help restore to full military, but there was no further discussion by him and the at time owner on the subject. Your observations on condition are good. As we keep telling people, "Buy the Rifle, Not the Story!"

I love it, B3222 is another USMC rifle but family did not want to release paper work! I am sure some of these were USMC used but when in very nice condition? Always makes me suspicious.

I know of this seller, as he is local in my area.  Caveat Emptor would be an understatement for some of what he comes up with.

B3222 photo #12 shows the bayonet rivet. These were never serial numbered by the factory or the Marine Corps.

Unknown SN claiming to be a Chilean 7mm

Tried to query seller, but negative response.

Doesn't the USMC scribble on the sling on B3222 prove it is an authentic Marine JSAR? (Ha! Ha!)

My JSAR was also used by a Marine in battle. The paperwork was eaten by my dog, though. Just believe me.

SN ????  Looks suspiciously like SN 4805 (stock giveaways & missing bayo lug), which sold recently on GB in April

Looks like 4805 or 4806 to me. Picture is not that clear.  Also seller has nothing else up for auction, hasn’t had any feedback in 6 months. This is a flag for me, this account may have been hacked and using old pictures to sell this.

Also, if the one previously sold in April, seller said barrel was shot out. Current new listing shows 'dark' barrel and a cartridge inserted deeply in muzzle.  It also has the following in description:

-This rifle is in fantastic shape.

-the rifle has been test fired. The barrel is dark with a bit of frosting, but still has solid lands and grooves. The muzzle is still tight too! This is a fair shooting rifle

-This rifle will ship for free with full insurance.

Caveat emptor
