  1. Rifle
  2. A little while ago I was cruising through the TV channels a bit ago and hit the Retro TV channel. It was a very bad Space Science-Fiction episode of Doctor Who. Was about to flip to another channel, and noticed that one of the guys was holding a 1941 Johnson. Pretty sure anyway, got a good look a the distinctive front sight and bayonet lug, and the buttstock. Later on, there were 3 guys with Johnsons up against a few guys with what looked like M3 Grease Guns. For anyone that wants to check it out, its Doctor Who, Season 8 Episode 15: Colony in Space. You can see the rifle about 4-5 minutes in, and again about 15-16 minutes in. Don't know if this had been mentioned before, don't recall it if it was.
  3. I had A90xx at one time. Sold that one last year.
  4. Yep, I'd go to this one if they would sell long guns to adjacent-states or C&R people. They won't get as much $$$ with those rules. I'm not going just for the ammo.
  5. Below are a couple of photos of the chamber area of a barrel on a Johnson that is in original configuration, and seems to be absolutely correct in all other ways. Any idea what the markings are Joe? Thanks!
  6. A newer product that has become popular around these parts in Gunzilla. It has a faint smell, like seaweed. Some of the guys swear by it, saying they threw all their other stuff out after using this product, and won't use anything else. I have some, and it seems to work OK, but I'm not as enthusiastic about it as my other gun-nut friends. My only issue is that I can use Gunzilla, run patches of that through until I get a clean patch, then follow it up with Hoppes 9 and get 1-2 more dirty patches. It is an excellent protectorant after cleaning though, on both metal and wood.
  7. I also have mine for sale. Been divesting myself of a lot of my collection of US military, and the Johnson is on my For Sale list. PM me if interested. Where are you located? I'm in NW Ohio. Daryll
  8. Nice looking rifle Sgt H. Mine is less than 150 numbers apart from yours. Maybe made the same day? Probably not, but possibly the same week anyway.
  9. I'm thinking about selling my M1941, but I need to be sure about the originality of the barrel. I checked out the barrel markings on the pics posted last November, and my markings are somewhat different. I'd took some pics, but haven't been able to figure out how to upload them here. I could email them if one of the Johnson experts here wishes to look at those markings. The rifle is a very nice looking military M1941, A9-thousand series, nice original 3-hole wood, great finish, shoots VERY well. I have put about 40-50 rounds through it since buying it over 7 years ago, functions perfectly. I'd like to sell it face-to-face after the buyer inspects it (I'm in NW Ohio), but I really need to confirm the barrel. Thanks.
