I finally paid off my Johnson. It is a Winfield Sporter and I believe it's a Delux? The serial Number is 6374. I've been told some of the guys here have info on the original serialization of the parts? If you do please let me know what this should have come from the factory with. I've had it only a couple of days and have not attempted to dissasemble it.

I'm currently purchasing a johnson from a friend of mine. It is his dads (he is his fathers guardian and I've met his father too) and he claims that he bought it sporterized years ago. I wrote down the serial number but have since lost it. Is there any information out there that i can use to match my serial number with that of the winfield sperters? or certain markings i need to look for? thanks in advance for your help
