  1. Thats not just any Johnson, thats a para carbine i believe. Ryche Good catch on the bolt handle in the 1st pic.
  2. It took me several years to find all the parts for mine. you can see it on Forgotten Weapons video on you tube. Having a good doner JSAR receiver helps alot so you don't have to cut up a good one. keep checking e-bay and broker. Good luck Ryche
  3. Good luck buddy, hope the show goes well for you. Ryche
  4. i think i have the locking bushing don't know about a ft. sight will have to check. Ryche
  5. Cool just let me know so i can P.M. you my phone number. We can meet at my table. Ryche
  6. Chris: If Joe is not interested i will take your last one. I will be at the SAR show in Dec. Just let me know and we can arrange to meet. Ryche
  7. Yes it would be but if she is into guns as well it can get expensive. Any year my wife comes with me it usually runs me around $1000 to cover her choices Ryche
  8. A good Machinist can turn the barrel. I just had it done not long ago with the barrel i'm using for my replica Para-carbine. It helps to have the orig. barrel for him to get measurements. The sporter barrel was most likely made by Winfield using JSAR parts a la the collar and guide with numbers. They ended up with most of the JSAR parts after the war and built several different models for public sale. Now that you have the correct equipment we are looking forward to seeing pics I'm working on getting my JLMG and Para finished soon. I will have pics up then... Ryche
  9. You should come to Phoenix the 1st weekend of Dec. for the SAR show. It goes for 3 days, 5 buildings and 4 carnival tents. It is worth the trip. I see some Johnsons and occasionally some parts there. Ryche
  10. If you are in AZ. thre is no problem with a bayo lug. Find one and get it put on What part of the state do you live in? I'm up north in Prescott. Ryche
  11. Until the other guys chime in we can tell you this: The barrel is most likely a post war replacement, 1st, no bayo lug and it doesn't look like it was ever there. 2nd is the half moon cut out just in front of the guide collar. Not sure what was originally pinned there but i don't think it was Johnson stuff. Bayo lugs are around, gun broker or maybe Sarco, or possibly Joe Scott. It is possible that the bolt did match, there were a few just by luck of the draw. Once one of the guys can run your # this will tell. Otherwise it looks like a nice rifle. Make sure to check the length of your recoil spring if you plan to shoot it. If it does not measure 12 in. Joe Scott sells excellent replacements for a good price. Be patient there are alot of guys here with alot of knowledge that will chime in soon. Ryche
  12. For any who may be interested. Bob took the last ft. sight i had and is on his way to rebuilding his JSAR. Hopefully he will post some pics on completion. Ryche

  16. Sorry for the delay, life often gets in the way while i'm trying to do other things. I DO have a front sight in good working condition, unfortunately no bayo lugs right now. Let me know if your interested. Ryche
  17. I have a reasonably good fore stock avlb. if needed .. It has a good scrunge in the right rear but is solid and sound and would be a good working replacement. Let me know Ryche
  18. It is possible to make a good sub. out of a large binder clip and a drimmel tool, untill a replacement can be found. Ryche
  19. Let me check and see what i have i think i have a ft. sight not sure on lugs. no pins though. I just moved into a new house so it may take a couple of days to find my stuff Ryche
  20. That guy has been trolling that thing for awhile now. It never seems to get sold. He always says he has alot of offers but it keeps turning up. I wouldn't mind having it but not for the$$$$'s he wants. Ryche
  21. Brian: If i were to just walk up to your table, not knowing you, i would just have kittens with all those neat Johnsons on the table. Oh and what looks to be a BAR as well. I hope to one day be able to meet you at a show. i need the formula for the finish on the barrel, i finally got my barrel trimmed to accept the shark fin ft. sight for the Para-carbine. The area that was lathed down needs to be refinished and have the sight pinned on, then once the rear sight is put together she will be finished. The rear hanger for the mag housing is currently being made and when its welded in place i will be able to wrap up the LMG project. Once thats done i just don't know what i gonna do with out a Johnson project in the works Ryche Good luck at the show
  22. AAAAHHHHH ENVY!!! I would love to attend one of these but have not been able to make it happen yet. Hope you had a good time buddy. One of these days i will get there. I am going to try to get to the Big Sandy in October. Ryche
  23. Oh oops i missed the fact that there is no board stock behind the holster in the case. Really nice collection of Luger carbines though, actually nice Luger collection period. My father and i collect both Lugers and Mausers, pistols and rifles, as well as many other WWII firearms among the Johnsons. I will soon be completed with my para carbine as well as the semi LMG. If you would like to see the DROR , That Brian helped me get completed , check out the DROR link in this site or go to Forgotten Weapons DROR. That is an impressive collection. Thanks for showing Ryche
  24. That is a good looking collection. What is the manufacturer on the artillery luger? Ryche
  25. How are you see,ing these barrels? I in my computer idiocy cannot find them. Auction number? thanks Ryche
