Yes I have a bolt hold in the rifle... The spring was a tad under 12" I believe like maybe 1/16"

    Yes I have had the spring out and as a matter of fact I have refinished the rifle and had everything apart... I did gears the spring with Tetra Grease.. Maybe this is a problem?

I took the rifle out twice. First time I fired the rifle, two rounds, the second cartage stuck in the chamber. Took the rifle home and did a good cleaning and polished the chamber. The next time out the rifle seem to extract fine but wouldn't always eject or lock the bolt back or pick up the round. I looked the the cartage to see if there was any signs of the case sticking. I didn't see any. It's as if there's isn't enough recoil or the spring it too stiff. Anybody have any ideas?

I use a dowel and some 0000 steel wool and a drill motor. Well that's what I use on M1 Garands when they need it...

I thought about it but I have been spending money a little too much lately... and I really don't "need" it... It did have the sheath too...

Found a bolt hold back and dropped that in ... Much nicer... I took the rifle out and had a bit of problem with a failure to extract. I don't know if it's the ammo or chamber. I was using HXP from the CMP...

If you are in western Washington somebody had a bayonet for the Johnson for 150 bucks at the WAC gun show this weekend. It was missing the clip though...

Well I got it done today... Hot out of the park tanks... Need to do a tad more tinkering but she back together...

Well... Got a new hand guard... and its in awesome shape... Only problem is its darker than the stock ... The stock has 4 coats of BLO the hand guard has one.
