  1. I moved and misplaced (I hope) some files. I asked about # 5862 and got info back in 2004. Tried to search the archives, with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Stan
  2. Thanks Bob. Stan
  3. Bob, I have a Winfield, Receiver: 5862, Barrel: 5862, Hammer Block: A2144, Hammer: A2476, Bolt: 9049, Locking Cam: 4906, Firing oin: A2879, Extractor: A4655, and Magazine; 9142. Can you give me a rundown. Thanks.
  4. Thanks for the replies. This is another addition to my USMC collection. Joe, I will drop you an email off line. Thanks again to all. Stan
  5. Just picked up a 1941 (Winfield conversion) today. Serial # 5862, does anyone have an idea who this went to orginally? As I am new to the forum this may have been answered before so please bear with me. Also it apears the Winfield conversion used the same barrel (due to same serial numbers), is this true? If so how was the front sight of the Winfield put on? I am looking to put it back into military configuration, so if the barrel is the same, looks like the: front sight, bayonet lug, rear swivel, buttplate, assorted screws and pins, parkerizing, and stock is about it. Am I right in my analysis? Thanks Stan
