  1. I am offering a pristine copy of Bruce Canfield's "Johnson Rifles and Machine Guns". This book has been well cared for and is virtually brand new. Book come with a few additional original ads from magazines. $38.00 shipped (media) to the lower 48 (PP acceptable). Email lobomike@crufflecarp.com for pix and/or questions. Thanx for viewing, LoboMike
  2. I have a fore stock that I removed from a Sport. If anyone has a need I am open to any reasonable offer. Free shipping to the lower 48. Pix available.
  3. My guess is it is from a Sporter, as I have one like it (from a Sporter). But what do I know? Lobo
  4. My first question is how similar/same are the .30-06 and 7mm chambers? Would finishing the 7mm barrel to like the .30-06 barrel do any harm? Questions because it's beyond my knowledge. The 50# - 60# does raise a real question! HTH Lobo
  5. In my experience using my own loads I found the 7mm very sensitive to light loads. With full factory loads or loaded to full factory specs it cycled fine. So my first thought is ammo. Be sure to have it clean & lubricated. Otherwise I never had any 7mm issues, just my light load experience. It wouldn't take almost any reduction in the load. HTH Lobo
  6. I have a very nice hand guard off a sporter. Pretty sure it's walnut. If interested just make an offer. I can get pix for serious interest. Pix added. Not the best, but you'll get the idea. Thanx LoboMike
  7. I have an NOS recoil spring and a rough & drilled butt plate. They will go to the first sensible offer. I no longer have a M1941 and am cleaning thing out. Thanx Mike
  8. Both parts spoken for & pending. Thanx Mike
  9. Got them, not sure what the issue was. No harm no foul.
  10. FYI whoever responded with a PM; I cannot get my PM for some reason.

  12. The spring is a full 12", came from either Sarco or Gun Parts. I'll try getting a pix of the butt plate. Sorry for the delay, we just/in the process of moving. Mike

  19. I have available pretty nice M1941 SAR with an excellent 7mm (7x57) barrel. I do not have provenance, and this may have been a Winfield or other rifle. 20. It's been a while since I visited/posted to the forum. Hope everyone is doing well. I have a pretty nice M1941 SAR with an excellent 7mm (7x57) barrel. My quest is to either sell or pursue a .30-06 barrel. So I'm trying to gauge the interest in the rifle and/or availability of .30-06 barrels. If there's enough interest I'll post pix. I added pix at http://public.fotki.com/LoboMike/johnson-m1941/ Asking price of $3,500.00 plus shipping & insurance. Offers welcomed. Thanx for viewing.
  21. Thanx for the feedback. I actually like the 7x57, and the rifle performs fine with them. As a senior citizen I am slowly culling the herd so to speak. I have lots of .30-06 ammo and would be looking to shoot that, vs burning up my 7x57 reloads. The M1941 has become a safe queen and if some one wanted it at a fair price (whatever that is) I think I like it to go to a more appreciating home. Thanx again Adriaan
  22. Thanx for the heads up, I believe it's been corrected. Anyway this is it: http://public.fotki.com/LoboMike/johnson-m1941/ Mike
  23. I am offering an original military configuration Johnson M1941 SAR. While the barrel is dark and well worn, it shoots surprisingly well. Also, the barrel is original JA with proper markings. Finish is about 20%. Many parts are original from Johnson Automatics (I have a list). Pictures tell the story: http://public.fotki.com/LoboMike/johnson-m1941/ Rifle is offered on GunBroker http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=164737699 As a courtesy to list members, the reserve is set at $3,250, very fair IMO.
