  1. If you have an M1 carbine with an M2 parts kit simply remove the parts send them ATF or destroy them. An M1 is perfectly legal to own as long as the receiver is marked M1. If it is marked M2 remove all the legal parts and send the receiver and M2 parts to ATF or destroy it along with the offending M2 parts which DO NOT include the slide, trigger housing or sear.
  2. What an Iver Johnson?
  3. It's a plate that appears to be made of lead.
  4. Anyone have any idea about the origin of this print plate? It's mounted on what appears to be mahogany. Plate is 3 3/4"x6 1/4" with notch cut in lower right corner. Bottom edge of plate says "Main Parts of the Johnson Semi-Automatic Rifle"
  5. I will take some pictures tomorrow of the wood. It's really well made out of what looks like three seperate blocks. The outboard blocks are vertical grain and the center piece has longitudinal grain.
  6. If that is the extent of the stock crack it's a simple fix. Put a small wedge lightly in the crack, pour super glue down the crack, remove the wedge and hold together tightly for 30 seconds. The repair will be stronger than the rest of the stock.
  7. Owning a MilTech is like owning a sporter Winfield. They have a niche but the rifles have been completely reworked with nothing original about them.
  8. I think Joseph Scott still has 4 or 5 for sale in the $4500-$7500 range..
  9. Any chance you have a #2 GI stock? Any chance you need a #5?
  10. They also used the anchor mark on some 513T .22's

  16. Could I get any known information on JSAR #1589?
  17. Any idea what this was used for? There's no way I'd thread my barrel to use it. http://cgi.ebay.com/JOHNSON-AUTOMATICS-RIF...id=p3286.c0.m14
  18. Is this a fake bayonet? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:X:AAQ:US:1123
  19. I talked to Joe Scott and he confirmed it is fake. When I informed the seller Pre98 this was his response: "I guess I will have to tell that to the 95 year old retired marine Col that I got it from, who has owned it since the big one. Go figure. Everytime I get a Johnson bayonet some poser always says its fake. Everybody that handled it said it was real. If I wanted your worthless opinion I would have paid for it or I could have taken 5 minutes to look at the same worthless website that you did." I'm not sure who "Everybody that handled it" is but he needs to find others to ask. I'm also curious what "worthless website" he thinks I went to. I can tell you he is one individual I will never do business with regardless what he has to sell.

  24. He was and he did.
  25. Were the sights recalibrated for all JSAR's?
