  1. Thank you very much. Bud Johnson
  2. Hi all, Thanks for supplying me the information on the manuals and the Joseph Scott DVD. Very informing. Now that I have owned the rifle for a while and had a chance to range test it, I am looking for information. I tested wax coated bullets and non-wax coated bullets with very little noted differences. The gun functioned flawlessly and shot OK.(not a 40X, but OK) I would really appreciate any information on this rifle. Brian, I notice that you supply a lot of information, I hope you can help me here. Best regards Bud Johnson
  3. Sorry, I waited so long to answer. I paid $11.95 I think for the manual. All included with shipping and a round up for the NRA it was $19.00. The reproduction is pretty good in most cases, but as always some of the illustrations are fuzzy. Going to shoot the gun this Friday. Some waxed bullets and some un waxed. Just got to shoot it. Best regards Bud JOhnson
  4. Thank you very much. I have ordered a repro manual and will probably also get the DVD from Mr. Scott. I will gather as much information as I can on the subject. I want to digest some of what I have first. I have lots of military weapons, being an old Jarhead I wanted a Johnson for a long time and it is my name sake(Smile) I think I am going to enjoy this website. Seems like a friendly bunch.. 5. Greetings, I am new to the forum and am a new 1941 Johnson rifle. I just purchased my rifle on July 2. The man that owned the rifle passed away a few years back and his widow finally decided to sell me the gun. The gun is in outstanding condition and performs flawlessly. This is B172X with the Cranston logo on the side. All parts are in excellent condition. I have been able to do what I need to do at this time, but I would really like the full manual. If someone could tell me where I may be able to locate a good manual, it would be greatly appreciated. Best regards Bud Johnson Austin, Texas
