  2. Might be a long shot.. Lol. No Pun intended... But there is a very well know place here in Ontario, Canada. Might be worth a try. ellwoodepps.com
  3. If i am correct and you were able to check all of the other serial numbers... The serial number on tne magazine is on the backside. Viewable once the stock is removed.
  4. I need to get my eyes checked and pay closer attention. It turns out I do have the correct firing pin! I thought it said 5729. But when I was looking at my pictures... I had my phone upside down. And realized I was reading the number upside down.. So I cleaned it better.
  5. Absolutely I will for sure. I very much appreciate the information and the help.
  6. Thank you very much. I finally got around to field stripping it. All numbers are correct with the exception of the barrel and firing pin.
  7. I think you are both right because there is no possible clearance to rotate the pin enough to remove it. Got it!!.. Thank you guys so much!.. Now I was able to rotate the pin to the right spot.
  8. I can get it to rotate a certain amount..but then it stops.
  9. Any help would be appreciated. First time field stripping my Johnson and I can't seem to get the stock off. I don't seem to have the locking pin that I see in the videos?
  10. Hello all, I'm just in the process of field stripping my Johnson in what I believe is the first time in close to 70 years. Everything seems to have a thick sticky grease coating. Just wondering what you guys use as lube when reassembling.
  11. First off, I'd like to thank everyone here for the vast amount of knowledge I have encountered on this site when I stumbled on it many years ago when I knew nothing more about a Johnson other then it was referred to as "a whale belly" Long story I will share sometime...but I would greatly appreciate if I could get the build info for Serial # 2333 Much thanks
