  1. Thanks, aardvark. But I just had one delivered.
  2. Fortunately it's an expensive habit she endorses. Hehe. Dennis
  3. Thanks. I'll look into it. Might be a nice weekend trip with the wife. Dennis
  4. Down south at Fort Huachuca. Dennis
  5. Yes, Sir. You are correct. Hand guard clip grooves on the bbl. Thanks for helping me out. Dennis
  6. I'm in AZ. Would it be worth adding the bayo lug?
  7. Thanks for the responses and advice. I'll check the spring when I get home from work. This is a completely new animal for me. Saw it at a gun shop and was an impulse buy. Now to enjoy the research and conversation sure to follow. Cheers! Dennis
  8. Added info: Bolt is matching. No JA inspection marks or caliber on the barrel itself, but has SN 6376E at the breach and 30-06/41 on the guide collar.
  9. Hello all, Thanks for allowing me to post on this forum. I recently purchased a 1941 Johnson, and I have a few questions I'm hoping you can help me with. The barrel doesn't have a bayo lug. Do you think it's a postwar conversion? That was my initial assumption, but the front sight seems to match an early 1941 as seen in Johnson's Rifles and Machine Guns, pg 88. I've attached a few pics. Any insight you can give would be greatly appreciated.
