  2. Thanks man
  3. Hey guys I wanted to give y’all the first shot at this before it goes to auction in April for a JSAR that I had and many of you on here helped with returning back to milspec. The Johnson was lightly sporterized when I got it and now it’s as close to milspec as you can get without an original stock. what I had replaced was the charging handle, and the stock was redone to accept a standard original buttplate I replaced the recoil spring and I have shot it and shoots great. it has the standard Cranston arms roll mark and Dutch acceptance stamp and the 30-06 barrel collar but this is a Winfield sporter so this is a m1 garand barrel. here is the serial info. I need to sell for personal issues with my child so I’m looking to sell at 3500 obo. Check out the pics. I’m currently in Florida right now and I will be back Friday to take any more pics if anyone wants to see more. ill ship to your FFL and I’ll pay for the shipping and any insurance you want and a hard case too. thanks
  4. Yea when I win the lottery I’ll pick a few more up and start restoring them. all serious though I like this project it was one of my favorite to do because it was challenging.. but ultimately some future American will get to enjoy this rifle now that it’s back to its original glory.
  5. Yes you did help out a lot. The stock was done by m48tanker who did an outstanding job on this rifle. Can’t thank him enough and everyone else too was a dream come true to finally own one of these but to have it back to milspec is awesome.
  6. Thanks to everyone on here that helped with my JSAR conversion back to milspec. It was much appreciated. It took 6 months to get this ol girl back to her original glory and I have to say it was fun tracking down parts and talking to y’all on here to get it done correctly. now off to the range to shoot and put it away for awhile preserve it for the next generation.
  7. Sent email
  8. Yea that’s what I thought and the modified rifle you show here looks a lot better like actually practical. Thanks
  9. Yea I saw the air and space museum statement too.. it seems weird to me looks like intentionally missing front hand guard to make it look more machine gunish.
  10. Morning fella’s looking through gunbroker like I usually do and came across this Johnson posted this morning. Looks like a hybrid LMG and Semi Auto. it looks weird just wanted to know if it was actually legit or some Frankenstein. I admit I don’t know a lot about the LMG versions of the Johnson. i know this is an active auction so if it’s against the rules please remove. https://www.gunbroker.com/Item/852925793
  11. No longer for sale please remove
  12. I have a standard sporter stock that I’m looking to sell. Maybe someone can use it and make it work. it is the usual Winfield standard sporter that was cut at the buttstock so it will take some work to get a buttplate attached to to it. Looks like a small tang crack that was fixed a while ago. No other cracks thanks no hardware included just wood. looking for 250.00 I’ll take PayPal and I’ll ship it directly to you. https://imgur.com/a/1ci9myR
  13. Thanks sir got it
  14. Good morning , anyone out there have a repro or original key and screws for the recoil tube in the buttstock? The parts that hold the tube in place in the buttstock. last few parts I need for the restoration. I tried asking mr. Scott but I don’t think none of messages make it through to him .. weird any help would be great thanks
  15. Got out the recoil tube and the key just like you stated above mr Scott again his advice works and ceases to amaze me.. thanks for the info
