I’m in need of two mainspring followers for my Johnson project’s. I’ve been searching for several months and checked all the usual parts web sites, eBay and others. Even called Miltech. I’ve also ordered other parts from a couple of very helpful Johnson Automatic forum members who thankfully got me closer to making these projects work again. I also wondered why this was a high dollar JSAR. I kept this picture just in case it came back up for sale.

Hello from the new guy in the group. How did you go about plugging the holes? Was it reblued afterwards? I’m interested in doing the same on a sporter and would like to know your procedure. Thanks.
