  1. I have spoke to Brian a few times over the past year or so and he was always extremely nice and helpful. Very sad to learn of his passing.
  2. BTW - This is an older thread from back in Dec. The more recent thread is called "M1941 Serial No. 3360". I reached out to JRS11150 to inquire about his non prefixed JSAR. In that thread you will find the photos he shared. Not a big deal but I figured I would connect the dots. Thanks everybody.
  3. Hi JRSIII50, Thanks for providing the photos. I have a minty B block that I recently purchased (within the last year) that I paid in the low to mid 6K range for. Although its a very nice rifle 9k is outside of a price point I would even consider at this time. Thanks for your time and best of luck.
  4. It does come with a instruction manual

  6. Hello everybody, I came across this JSAR for sale on one of the broker sites. Serial # A5793 https://www.legacy-collectibles.com/rifles/us/rare, excellent johnson model 1941 122.html
  7. Thank you for the information. I am looking so if you know anybody that has one for sale please have them PM me.
  8. Hi Ed and team, thanks for the welcome. I've personally owned Bruce's 1941 Johnson book for years, great book ! I also have many of his others. I see you are from CT. I lived there for most of my life. I left 3 years ago for the South. Thanks again for the welcome and I am looking forward to learning from you all.
  9. Its on Gun Broker. I think it will be there for a bit based on the price (9500). I can't tell for sure but it look like its been re-finished to me.
  10. Hi Brian and thank for your reply. For some reason this posted 2x. The first one included some photos.
  11. Good Morning, I am in the marked for a 1941 Johnson and came across this example on one of the auction sites today. I am not an expert, still learning, but would like to ask for some feedback. The asking price is above 8K. Any comments would be appreciated. Thank You all in advance.

  13. Thank you all for your input and sorry for the rehash on this rifle
  14. Good afternoon, I apologize if this has already been discussed as I am new here. I was wondering what the thoughts are around this USMC marked 1941 Johnson listed on GI for 15K. I am not aware of any of these rifles being USMC market. If its a fake, its a shame as the rifle itself looks to be in very nice condition and IMO the USMC hurts the sale value.
