Won't fire second shot?

Hi all,

Was out at the range for the first time and found this problem.

First shot fires as expected, cartridge ejects and loads new one in, then nothing. No click or anything.

Any help would be great.

I would highly suggest Joseph Scotts video on maintenance on your SLR.

Clean and inspect carefully and use snap caps to hear for the firing pin strike.

Better yet, Send it to him for a complete checkout.

Might not be the cause but it should be 12 inches long. Get a new one from Joseph Scott.

No "Click"? Sounds like the hammer didn't drop. That, or the hammer didn't reset...might be an issue with your trigger group. Doubt it would be the main spring since the bolt cycled, ejected spent case, and successfully loaded another cartridge.
