Johnson Rifle ID

I just recently acquired rifle # 9077 and would appreciate any help you can give me on this piece. I've already contacted Joe Scott and will be sending it to him for a checkup for safety, needed parts etc. Like many here have noted, he was a real gentleman and I enjoyed talking with him.
