I stopped in at a newly opend gun shop in southeastern Michigan and what did I see in the middle of the rifle rack? A sporterize 1941. Not having been in the shop before (opened a couple of days ago) I was interested to see if there was a reasonable price on it. I could see it was missing the rear sight elevator. When I asked the price was 2K for the sporter and 4200 for the one in the other display case. WTF I walked right by the glass display case with what looked like a complete 1941. How often do you see a 1941 in a gun shop. Let alone two of them.

I'm pretty sure I've never seen one in a gun shop. I've only seen two at gun shows, aside from what I'd consider specialized shows like WWII collectors' shows.

And 2K for sporter might be pretty good...depending on the "sporterness" of it.ds
