7 mm barrel won't cycle

Only tried to fire it once in June with commercial Remington 7 x 57 140 grain ammo. Wouldn't cycle but fired fine manually. Any advice?

Check the brass for signs of a rough chamber. JSARs are very sensitive to dirty and/or pitted chambers. If this is the problem, try polishing with a Scotch Brite pad. If this does not work, it may need honing. Also try lubricating the cartridges. Joseph Scott will probably have more to add.
