Stock Markings

Hey All,

This weekend I stripped my JSAR down to clean after a day at the range. On the face of the stock is stamped 'K4'. Does anyone know what that marking represents?

I don't know what it means but all original buttstocks have a letter and number stamped on the inner circle of inletting.   Sometimes you have to brush away the grime before they appear.
