Remember the sacrifice of others today.

Thank you, Jim. Very appropriate.

Annually, like many other fire departments, our volunteer company has a vigil, standing outside our firehouse, with continuous rotation, from 8am to 5pm every year, rain or shine. Today was no exception, and my own knees held up well with the help of a cane.

Never forget......

Jim

Thanks so much for that. I had never seen that, but it was very apropos.  Where was I? My son and I were just discussing that day. He was at work. I was at home.  He called me. Amazingly, they had a  TV running at his place of business. He told me to turn my TV on. It explained the VTANG fighter jets that had screamed south over my home. I understand that they were some of the first on scene. The rest is history.  As I watched, I kept calling people, never taking my eyes off the horror that I was watching. And that is it. Never ever forget.  Always be vigilant. Never take your eyes off your, or your family's,  safety and security.
