Serial Number request for JSAR #3244

Hi everyone, Firstly thank yo to Jim for showing me the right direction to get some information about my JSAR.

I'm hoping somebody could help me with looking up the serial number 3244 for my GSAR? I've had this for a little over a year and just now found that the first log production prefix information is available on this forum. I'd appreciate any help appreciate any help I can get with this information.

While little detail, a nice looking rifle just the same. If you have not done so, I suggest trying to obtain a copy of the Canfield book "Johnson's Rifiles and Machine Guns"

The following information is provided from the production logs:

Receiver SN 3244, Received From: Cranston Arms, Date Received 1/5/1942, Stock No. none, Barrel No. 8726E, Hammer Block No. 4246, Hammer No. 5915, Bolt No.  7897, Locking Cam No. 3533, Firing Pin No. 6620,  Extractor No. 2798,  Magazine No. A0666, Disposition Date 1/5/1942, Transferred to J.A. Inc - N.P.C

Without proper and reliable provenance, be very careful about claims of both ownership and usage.
