Front sight blade

I just examined a original style front sight in which the blade is a seperate piece inserted into the main part. Not obvious from front but clear from rear. Has anyone else noticed such an arrangement? It would make the machining much simplier and could be adjusted for fine elevation tuning. As I see mostly sporter sights to convert, I don't have many originals to compare. This could be an aftermarket modification to correct a damaged sight, or a factory change to ease production. Not important, just interesting to me.

I have 2 JSARs and both front sights are machined from ONE piece....

All my other originals are one-piece. Just thought it unusual. Thanks for replies.
