End of Auction on Gunrunner

The Gunrunner JSAR ended finished up at $6140.00 (no buyers premium) with some spirited last-minute bidding (went from $4300).

Not as high as Sunday's auction results, but like Garands and carbines, justifying my purchasing habits over the last few years.

That is a nice looking JSAR but the bbl is probably not original. In the picture, I did not see any pin grooves for the missing bayonet lug. I have seen several otherwise correct JSARs with a replacement bbl, usually recycled Garand bbls, without the lug. Indeed, many of them are a little shorter than original.
