johnson m1941 scope mount

3 posts in this topic

There is no commercial mount for the M1941. In the 60's, Winfield Arms made a mount from a Weaver long base but it required drilling and tapping the top of receiver. I am sure there are some around as I have plugged several drilled receivers. If you want a scoped gun, post WTB for one on this board.

Dang! Hit by senility again! One of the scope mount manufacturers was offering scope mounts for the JSAR until at least the mid-1990s. This same manufacturer, whose name escapes me (senility) also made mounts for a variety of other military (as well as sporting) rifles. The mounts looked like an L rotated 90 degrees to the right. Don't know if they required drilling and tapping, but if my memory is correct one of the features was NO drilling and tapping. They may have fit in the rear sight slot. . . Anyone remember what I'm writing about?
