Hello, Yes, I have seen several finishes also with the very dark Blueing being the most common. I guess I should have been more explicit. I need to know what was original on my A4*** rifle. Currently everything is parked with the exception of the magazine and the trapdoor. I need to find out for certain what was original. Thanks, Karl

Good question. I do it because others have done it and I figured they must have a good reason. Wouldn't it be funny if somebody did it by accident years ago and we just all followed suit?
