I got mine. B0207

It's a Winfield Arms gun apparently, but I have one now.

It has the Pachmayr pad and a polished blued barrel with banded ramp front sight.

It may not be all military, but it's a lot closer than I was.

Hey, that's a nice looking rifle! Should be an easy restoration if you plan to go that route. Joseph Scott can help you with the front sight and bayo lug, and maybe even the stock.

Thanks for the pics!

Yours has a really nice looking buttstock. I have a Winfield also. Really fun to shoot and still a Johnson. Maybe we should start a "Show us your Winfield" thread?

Thanks. It's not too bad looking is it?

I'd still like to keep that stock around even after I get it swapped out.

I wonder what percentage of the rifles owned by people here are Winfields?

I have a Winfield Arms. Serial #B7066. Wings cut off of front sight, no bayonet lug, barrel from an M1 Garand, rear sight dovetail

machined off and drilled for a scope. Still has the Winfield Arms recoil pad. Saving up money to send it to Mr. Scott's camp for wayward

Johnsons.

I bet my cash on most being Winfields or ex-winfields.

My pieces/parts are back from Mr Scott.

Here it is, bought back to it's full military glory, alongside another weapon with some WWII USMC connections:

It looks much better to my eye now.

I can shoot it better now, too. I put a few rounds through it the morning after the parts came back, and the flat-topped military blade sight works much better for my eyes than the Winfield bead.
