Tulsa report

4 posts in this topic

There were a number (6-9) at the big show, priced from $5-$8000. A walk-in sporter (highly buffed) with scope and cut off barrel was bought by a dealer. A poor gun which he offered to resell for $2500. I passed on buying it but he did order a number of parts. I did finally get a fairly nice original from a dealer friend. Dealers seemed

to have been happy with public sales. Less tables than before and aisles were spread out, still the table price goes up to $140 for next show. Saw a number of fine Johnson collectors again.

Tanker, click on my name next to above posting and it will take you to a screen which can send me an e-mail.

Sgt, I haven't been out west since the LA great western show closed. With expensive travel, I am not sure which trips are worth taking. I can drive to Tulsa. The airplane trip to Baltimore was an invitational trip but was not a success cost-wise.
