1941 Johnson - Stock Markings

Hey Everyone,

In the process of repairing my stock, I found these markings at the bottom of the grip.

The left side of the photo is just flash, the right side I've tried to enhance the marking a bit.

Any idea's?

Does anyone else have simular marking's?
