The Johnson in Sci-Fi

A little while ago I was cruising through the TV channels a bit ago and hit the Retro TV channel.  It was a very bad Space Science-Fiction episode of Doctor Who.  Was about to flip to another channel, and noticed that one of the guys was holding a 1941 Johnson.  Pretty sure anyway, got a good look a the distinctive front sight and bayonet lug, and the buttstock.  Later on, there were 3 guys with Johnsons up against a few guys with what looked like M3 Grease Guns.  For anyone that wants to check it out, its Doctor Who, Season 8 Episode 15: Colony in Space.  You can see the rifle about 4-5 minutes in, and again about 15-16 minutes in.    

Don't know if this had been mentioned before, don't recall it if it was.
