USMC Marked 1941

Good afternoon,  I apologize if this has already been discussed as I am new here.  I was wondering what the thoughts are around this USMC marked 1941 Johnson listed on GI for 15K. I am not aware of any of these rifles being USMC market. If its a fake, its a shame as the rifle itself looks to be in very nice condition and IMO the USMC hurts the sale value. Thoughts ?

The USMC markings are bogus.  You're right, it's a shame to devalue an apparently otherwise decent Johnson rifle by stamping fake markings. The asking price is obviously highly inflated.

Cole, this is the same one I questioned last month... It was on a different auction site then and was only $6k, I see that they are asking $14.9k now - LOL
