How do you empty message in box.

I can't receive or send messages due to inbox being full.  I have clicked on everything I can see and no luck.  For about a year, I had no message icon, now I do but can't find delete button.  Help please.  Joe

If you can get to your inbox, click the black gear settings icon, and then empty.

I cannot find such a screen as you show.  When I click on mail,  it goes directly to a list of old messages.

Joe, perhaps your screens are something like this:

Click on Mail envelope and the drop down menu box has 'Go to Inbox'

Click on "Go to inbox"

and when Inbox comes up, between "Inbox" and "Compose New" click on the GEAR and a drop down menu will appear, which includes Empty

Click on Empty

Please get this cleared up. I want to buy a recoil spring from Mr. Scott. I have sent messages every way that I could find. So far there is no connection.

I hope that tenor of that post did not come across as pre-emptory. I feel frustrated in my attempts to contact Mr. Scott through this forum. In the short time I have been a member here, I have learned much, and I have come to respect this community.
