1941 Johnson info needed

I have a 1941 Johnson Ser #2062....any info on where it was issued and to whom would be greatly appreciated....I am in Canada and am trying to Import it into the USA and with info showing it was not issued to the US government I am hoping that it maybe importable!!?...Thank You

Please let us know what else matches. At least by the records available, your JSAR was not issued to the US govt.

Gentlemen...Thank You so much for the info!!....here are more photos....I am not sure how to disassemble the gun to check for the other numbers(will do some research)...here are some more pictures....before I sell it,I a tempted to shoot it....is there any danger of it blowing up if I use some commercial Remington hunting ammo in it?

Hey Stay in the 150 grain bullet range. I made the mistake of shooting some 180 grain hunting ammo in mine and it kicked the snot out of me. After realizing what ammo i was shooting i decided that it was way to powerful for the rifle. I'd rather not tear up such a nice piece with heavy ammo. With the dent left on the head of the shell after ejection it has to be stressing the ejector. Military spec ammo is probably best, All agree? RYCHE

I have imported two Johnson M1941 SAR from Canada. While you can do the process yourself,

I used the folks at LeRoy's Big Valley Gun Works with great satisfaction. If they are still there, check them out:

(only downside I know of is "double shipping", to LeRoy's then to buyer).
