The add indicates it is a pre-sample, which means it is a pre-86 sample, which means only Class III dealers, Class II Manufacurers, or of course a police agency can purchase it. There were two up for sale a couple months ago on other web sites in the $25K-$30K range as well.

<_< I agree with Brian. The Bipod does not look right. Anyone with serious interest should inquire further, especially at those prices. Ed J

Haven't checked out the photos, but a fellow out in Colorado, I believe, was making repro bipods that were close to the originals. This would have been about the time ARMEX imported some 400 JLMG '41 parts kits, probably in the early '80s. Sold my JLMG for about $8,500 about ten years ago. That had the backpack mag. carrier and magazines! Maybe I should have kept it... BTW, a "d" prefix in the serial number of JLMGs indicates a "rewatt" or re-activated JLMG that was probably welded up in the late '50s or early '60s and was sold -- then -- for about $60! Sometimes I wish I didn't remember things like that as it is a sign of getting old. Just remember, when longing for the "old days", that gasoline was about 25 cents per gallon and you could buy a nice house for about $18,000. Salaries were comparably low, as well.
